'Winter Time' by Robert Louis Stevenson (from 'A Child's Garden of Verse'). I'm less fond of this partly because of its length, but also because the content is so alien (ie frost).

Hearing
Naming words for people in both English and French.

Doing
Lots of standing up and sitting down.
Looking and smiling in the mirror.
Going out for walks.

Developments
Puggle has just started reaching out (right hand only) and batting at things in front of him with deliberation. He uses his left hand to pull himself forward in the rocker so he can reach.
